Hawktree is awesome. I love to play it and am so fortunate to be able to play it every
day. I love the scenery and the layout , it cant be any better. I don't think that people realize that this is one of the elite best golf courses in the US, they think oh, North Dakota it can't be that great, but its more than that is awesome. I love everything about it, whether its the staff or the grounds crew they are all awesome, very professional. As a young golfer who is a 6 handicap I can't tell anyone how much I appreciate the board or anyone who was involved in creating this course, I have a course that I can play that is just as hard as some of the big name courses, and I feel very fortunate for that.

I have played golf for 23 years, from California to Connecticut, and I have seen many nice golf courses. When I was told that there was a new course in Bismarck I thought, "In the middle of nowhere...how nice can it be?" Well, I was fortunate enough to play your course last year and I can honestly say that it was one of the top courses I have ever played! I look forward to coming to Bismarck, every year, to play golf at Hawktree. You have a great golf course which starts when you walk into the clubhouse and doesn't end until the last putt on 18. I tell all my friends that Hawktree is a course that is a must to play. I look forward to my next round at your course!!

You have one of the best courses I have had the privilege to play and the staff is unparalleled. I have played courses throughout the continental US, from Florida to California and they all have there uniqueness. However, yours is something special, because of the way the terrain is utilized. From the time that you drive up to the clubhouse, until you see it in your rearview mirror, it is an experience to remember. And it is here, in Bismarck, North Dakota! As I stood at the clubhouse and looked out at the course, I could not believe my eyes at it's beauty. You mentioned that you hope to rival the "Links on the Prairie", well, I think you have surpassed it. As you stand on each tee box, all you can do is stare in awe. I look forward to playing Hawktree numerous times.

What a Course!!!!! I just wanted to let you all know how much I really enjoyed playing Hawktree a couple weeks ago. I think Hawktree is the finest course I have ever played on. Bismarck and ND should be proud. I think the word needs to get out to the Pros about Hawktree! Let's see how Tiger would do on a Hawktree when the typical ND winds are blowingI have played courses around the world (Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, and throughout the USA) and I think Hawktree is the finest. The black sand traps are outstanding, the landscape is perfect, the greens are well placed, and the links style fairways are challenging. What more could a golfer ask for? Who needs trees? Words of advice for those planning to experience Hawktree - Bring golf balls, bring a camera, rent a cart, play often and have fun. It is great!

Suffice it to say, the course is magnificent! The way the layout compliments the setting in the Burnt Creek valley shows the North Dakota roots of its designer. I noticed one other comment about the different look each hole presents. That's very true! It's hard to imagine it could be any better. I've played it a few times already, and plan to return as often as I can.
